How to make Release & Cycle Non-Default?

Feature Details - When a domain has single release and cycle the it becomes default for that domain. If you have added more than one releases and cycles then your requirement tends to change default release and cycle. Below are the steps to Non-Default the release and cycle to make another release/cycle default. This also include the steps to make release/cycle non-default to delete.

Scenarios -
1. If the Domain contains only one release then that release will become default for that domain.
2. If the Domain contains one or more releases then the user will allowed to choose which release has to keep default.
3. If a domain contains 2 releases(Release-1, Release-2) in which Release-1 is Default and you wanted make Release-2 as default and Release-1 Archive, in this case, follow the below steps.

Step 1(To make default) : Go to Admin Module > Domain Management and Settings section > Cycle > Select the Release from drop down > List of cycles appears for that release selected > From Action column Edit cycle > Check the box "Default release and cycle" to make the release default.


Step 2(To make non-default) : Go to Admin Module > Domain Management and Settings section > Cycle > Select the Release from drop down > List of cycles appears for that release selected > From Action column Edit cycle > You can see the cycle is default for the release it means Release is also default.(Now you cannot edit it as its greyed out)


Step 3 : Go to the release > cycle to which you want to make default > Edit cycle > (Make it default by selecting the check box)Check the box "Default release and cycle" to make the release default.


Note: If you are trying archive the release in which you are currently logged in then QMetry will give you the error that "You cannot archive current logged in Release", you must not be on the release which you you want to delete.
